Pakistani squad off to Fujaira to participate in Fujaira Open International Taekwondo C'ship 2019
A 7-member taekwondo squad departed for Fujaira to take part in Fujaira Open International Taekwondo Championship 2019 which is all set to roll into action from 1st to 5th February in UAE.
Three athletes from Khubaib Taekwondo Academy and three athletes from FATA Taekwondo Association are going to represent Pakistan along with National Team in Fujaira Open International Taekwondo Championship UAE which will be staged from 01 to 05 February 2019. The players will be trained and papered for the upcoming matches under the supervision of Col, (R) Waseem Ahmad Janjua who is the President of Pakistan Taekwondo Federation (PTF).
Pakistan Taekwondo Federation (PTWF) President, Lt Col (R) Wasim Ahmed Janjua said, “We have pinned great hopes in Haroon and Taimoor to win medals, while we will also send squad for US Open next month. All will be done on self-finance basis, as the federation can not afford to send players due to lack of funds,”
He also declared to hold National Championship in Quetta and Islamabad this year along with Pakistan biding for G1 Asian Taekwondo Union Tournament in July this year.
