The Pakistan Judo Federation (PJF) has sought Uzbekistan's help to train its judokas ahead of Asian Championships.
"We've written a letter to our counterparts in Uzbekistan, requesting them to allow our judokas to avail their training facilities ahead of the Asian Championships," PJF secretary Masood Ahmed said on Thursday.
The Asian Championships, which also serve as a quali-fying, tournament for the 2016 Rio Olympics, are sched-uled to take place in Uzbekistan from April 14-17. International Judo Training Centre in Uzbekistan is considered among world's best training facilities and Ahmed said the PJF wanted to send three judokas Shah Hussain (-100 kg), Qaisar Khan (-81 kg) and Samih (-60 kg).— for training there.
Ahmed said Pakistan were relying heavily on Shah Hussain, who recently won gold medal at the South Asian Games in India, to get a berth at the Olympics.
