Islamabad Super Football League 2019 rescheduled

A total of eight (8) teams are to vie in the 2019 Islamabad Super Football League which is all set to kick off from 2nd February at Akbar Football Ground in G-8/4, Islamabad.

Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) and Islamabad Football Association (IFA) are organizing this mega football league that has been named as Islamabad Super Football League which will roll into action from 2nd February. 

This mega football action is featuring a total of eight (8) top football club’s teams from the capital who will be playing the upcoming matches into the league and the boys from their respective clubs and teams will be seen battling against each other for the ultimate title gain of the league.

Participating teams are namely stated below: 
1. Rover Football Club
2. Mehran Football Club
3. Huma Football Club
4. CDA Football Club
5. Ravi Football Club
6. Evergreen Football Club
7. Akbar Football Club
8. Islamabad Academy 

PFF President, Syed Ashfaq Hussain said, "I believe the championship will not only provide a great chance to youngsters to show their skills and rise to prominence but it will also entertain the football lovers,"  at the kits distribution ceremony held at a local hotel in Islamabad under the supervision of Islamabad Football Association (IFA) in collaboration with CBR Housing Society. 

Ashfaq said the federation is determined to promote the game of football in the country and for that an all-out effort would be made to bring the actual football on ground. "We've to develop football right from the grassroots level till the top. We will go into the field to bring football on ground in actual sense," he added.

 MNA Aamir Dogar, Vice President PFF speaking on the occasion said that Pakistan had no dearth of talent and he is sure that this league would help unearth several talented players. "Islamabad has become a big hub of football activities and the credit for that goes to IFA, which is working candidly to promote the game" he said.

PFF  Vice Presidents, Zahir Shah, Naveed Haider, PFF Acting Secretary, Syed Sharafat, CBR Housing Society President, Altaf Ahmed were also present at this event.

This league will have matches played only on weekends and two matches per day will be contested. The first match of the league will be played on 2nd February at 12 in the afternoon sharp.
