Pakistan to face Hong Kong in Asian Junior Squash Championship 2019 semis

Pakistan Junior Squash team booked their place in the semi-final stage of Asian Junior Squash Championship 2019 by earning an easy win over Thailand 3-0 in their last pool A match at Pattaya in Thailand.

 

Pakistan Junior Squash team continued their wining streak making their way into the semi-final stage of the championship as they defeated Thailand on 3-0 in their last pool A match. 

Abbas Zeb of Pakistan was up against Thailand's Abbas Abdullah in which he steered to a convincing victory over his opponent by 1-0. Abbas simply kept his opponent under tremendous pressure right throughout the match as he took the first game 11-0 and won the second by 11-0 as well.

Although Thailand's Abdullah managed to earn two points in third game, but Abbas then shut the doors on him, winning the game by 11-2 to give Pakistan perfect start.

Muhammad Farhan Hashmi started the second match against Waritpol Klinsoontorn where he made the opponent go down soon by 11-2 even with Waritpol managing to score 2 points in both the first and second game which ended as 11-2. He tried to make a comeback in the third game but in the end he had to suffer 11-0 defeat.

The third match saw Muhammad Hamza Khan taking control and took the first game 11-1 with comfort against Vasispol Thonguthaisri. However, it was only this game that witnessed Thailand's players managing to score 3 points but he was not able to take the win even in this game as Hamza ended it as 11-3.

Thailand finally lost when the third game finished in Pakistan's favor through Hamza Khan on 11-0. 

The top seed Pakistan have now notched up four back-to-back victories as they first won against Srilanka then won over Korea, India and now Thailand in their last pool A match. 

Pakistan will now compete with the third seed Hong Kong team in the first semi-final game tomorrow.
