Leisure Football League starts in Hunza, Gilgit and Ghizer
A total of 8 teams are participating in this 3 months long football action which is being held in snowy Northern Areas of Pakistan including Hunza, Gilgit and Ghizer.
Leisure Leagues, the largest provider of small-sided football leagues in the world, continued their efforts to raise the profile of football in Pakistan and now is kicking off leagues in the snowy Northern Areas of Pakistan including Hunza, Gilgit and Ghizer.
Though filled with abundance of talent, these areas are getting highlighted with their football talent for the first time by Leisure Leagues and the winning teams will competing for the slots in the Leisure Leagues National Championship, whose winner plays in the International Socca Federation (ISF) World Cup.
"The aim of Leisure Leagues and World Group is to bring football to the most remote parts of the country. Football in the snow helps increase the softer image of Pakistan and is also promoting tourism in the region," added World Group President, Shahzeb Trunkwala.
This football action in above mentioned cities is featuring a total of eight (8) teams, players from whom are seen competing against each other so as to earn spots in 2019 Leisure Leagues National Championship.
The participating teams include: Borith Defenders FC, Shahbad Rangers FC, Skyscrapers GKN FC, Khunjerav IBEX FC, Chreer FC, Ptundas Leopards FC, Banbogh City FC and Hudhud Badshah FC.
Leisure Leagues is the largest operator of small-sided leagues in Pakistan and has a consistently growing network of 35 cities, who are all interconnected in the largest national championship in the country.
