Ammar & Laiba win Punjab Badminton Championship 2019
Ammar Masood and Laiba Masoud, both from Lahore, won the men’s and women’s singles titles of the Punjab Badminton Championship here at Nishtar Park Sports Complex Lahore.

Punjab Badminton Championship 2019 organised by Pbf and Punjab badminton association with collaboration of Pakistan National Group Of Scholls & Colleges.
In this event more than 300 players participated all over the Punjab.
The men’s doubles event was won by Gohar Azam and Ahmed Jalal and women’s doubles by Amna Jawad and Zainab Chaudhry.
Secretary-general of Punjab Olympic Association, Idrees Haider Khawaja, distributed the cash prizes of Rs 52,000 amongst the finalists.

Men’s singles: Ammar Masood (Lahore) bt Muqsit Islam (Faisalabad) 24-22, 21-8.
Men’s doubles: Gohar Azam/Ahmer Jalal (Lahore) bt Usama Shafi/Umair (Lahore) 21-14, 21-16.
Women’s singles: Laiba Masoud (Lahore) bt Qurat-ul-Ain (Lahore) 21-15, 21-15.
Women’s doubles: Amna Jawad/Zainab Chaudhry (Lahore) bt Qurat-ul-Ain/Hadia Ishfaq (Lahore) 24-22, 21-16.
