Rs. 7.2 million Rashid D. Memorial National Professional Golf C’ship tees off today

Around 100 leading golfers from across the country are to participate in the HBL Rashid D. Memorial National Professional Golf Championship which will commence today and will continue till 13th January at Karachi Golf Club (KGC).

Rashid D. Memorial National Professional Golf Championship is being organized under the supervision of Pakistan Golf Federation (PGF) with Bank AL Habib being the title sponsor.  

This championship is now being held into its 8th edition in the honor of Rashid D. Habib that is offering a prize purse of rupees 7.2 million while as regular practice, appearance money amounting to Rs. 500,000 will be awarded among top five golfers of Pakistan.

As many as 100 leading golfers from all over the country are to participate in this four day championship in which Pakistan’s one of the top golfer, Shabbir Iqbal will be playing to retain his title and is to expect tough competition from his long-time rival, Muhammad Munir and Matloob Ahmed who stands as the top two finishers, ahead of him.

The main tournament will be played over 72 holes while the Senior National Professionals and Junior Professionals will also be playing in their respective categories concurrently.
