3rd seed Kamran Albert to face Hamza Ilyas in 1st U16 Junior National Championship 2019 final
Third seed Kamran Albert Masih of Kpk will meet Muhammad Hamza Ilyas of Punjab in the final clash of 1st U16 Junior National Championship 2019 at the PSB Snooker Hall, Islamabad.
Third seed Kamran Masih from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa caused a major upset by eliminating top seed Umer Khan in the Jubilee Insurance U-16 National Snooker Championship semi-final here at the Pakistan Sports Complex’s billiard and snooker hall, Islamabad.
Kamran will face six seed Punjab’s Mohammad Hamza Ilyas today (8th Jan) at 11:00 am in the title decider. The latter made it to the final after fellow Punjab player Shaban Butt.
Kamran had to fight hard to topple Umer, the U-18 defending champion, in a match that consisted of seven frames. Umer took flying start as he stunned his opponent in first frame by a huge margin of 79-3. He kept his supremacy intact in next two frames too, winning 68-55, 62-24.
Kamran responded strongly, showing outstanding performance to win the next four frames comfortably to notch up an upset victory over top seed Umer.
Kamran won the match 4-3 with a game score of 3-79, 55-68, 24-62, 67-40, 61-48, 46-28, 52-44.
Meanwhile, sixth seed Hamza comfortably sent Shaban packing 4-1 (61-36, 28-60, 66-17, 64-29, 53-13) to set the final date with Kamran.
