PAF crown 41st National Kabaddi Championship title
Pakistan Air Force (PAF) earned a hard-fought win over WAPDA in the final of Commissioner Faisalabad 41st National Kabaddi Championship at Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad.
41st National Kabaddi Championship Iqbal Stadium, Faisalabad.The Commissioner Faisalabad National Kabaddi Championship which was conducted this time into the 41st edition came to a successful end with Pakistan Air Force (PAF)’s kabaddi team claiming the title of the championship.
Pakistan Air Force (PAF) team was able to earn this win through their player’s incredible grounding skills as well as great defence and blocking which did not let WAPDA players come any closer to the winning line and made them fall on 51-40 as the final score.
However, WAPDA, as always being at the top in every sport, in kabaddi as well, did not lose their static game techniques throughout the championship and claimed the runner up spot as they suffered loss just by a difference of 11 score.
While in the 3rd and 4th position matches played, Sui Northern Gas Piplines (SNGPL) thrashed one of the strongest standing teams, Army by 51-35 score thus claiming the 3rd spot and now Army stands on the 4th spot in the championship.
Jabbar Ali of WAPDA was declared the Best Raider along with Nafees Shahid Gujjar of PAF being awarded with the title of Best Defender throughout the championship.
The 41st National Kabaddi Championship was organized by Pakistan Kabaddi Federation (PKF) which featured top teams belonging from various departments as well as provinces of Pakistan.
A total of 13 teams participated from which fighters were seen competing against each other for top honors in the championship. This championship was conducted in Circle Style.
Participating teams included: Army, Pakistan Air Force (PAF), Water And Power Development Authority (WAPDA), Railways, Police, Higher Education Commission (HEC), Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL), Pakistan Ordnance Factories Wah (POF), Punjab, Sindh, Baluchistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Islamabad.
