Shaheen and Kot Addu RFC win in 6th Servis Tyres 15s Rugby Championship
Shaheen RFC and Kot Addu RFC crushed their respective opponents recording convincing wins in 6th Servis Tyres 15s Rugby Championship which is being held at Pakistan Rugby Academy in Lahore.
The third leg of matches played yesterday between Shaheen Rugby Football Club and Duniyapur Rugby Football Club, the first game witness tremendous efforts of Shaheen RFC which enabled the team to win by a huge margin of 19-7 score. Even with Duniyapur boys quiet good attempts of scoring, all their efforts were lost in vain as the winning team came out much stronger with more goals on the score-sheet.
While in the second clash of Division III contested, Kot Addu team made Vehari Rugby Football Club fall on a 7-0 score-line.
Pakistan Rugby Union has organized its main premier event of the year in its sixth edition this time and the event has been named as “6th Servis Tyres 15s Rugby Championship”.
A total of 15 teams are struggling for the ultimate title gain in the championship. These teams are divided into four different divisions from which Quetta and Karachi are the new participating teams.
Following is the teams' division:
Division I teams: Lahore Rugby Football Club, Islamabad and Lahore Hawks.
Division II teams: Desert Camels Bahwalnagar, Lodhran, Multan and Police.
Division III teams: Shaheen Rugby football Club, Dunya Pur, Vehari and Kot Addu.
Division IV teams: FATA, Khyber Pakhtumkhawa, Quetta and Karachi.
