Pakistan holds Afghanistan in a 1-1 draw in International Football Friendly Match
Pakistan National Football Team's tour to Qatar concluded with 4 friendly matches played from 16 to 25 December in Doha, Qatar.
Pakistan National Football Team departed for Doha on 12th of December to play friendly matches with other participating nations. The National Team was up against Palestine, Qatar, Iraq and Afghanistan in their four (4) football friendly matches.
However, Pakistan lost their first match to Palestine 0-2 on 16th December while the second to Qatar by 3-1 yesterday. But Pakistani team improved well from their previous defeats and neither win nor lose in their last match against Afghanistan's Under-23 National Football Team.
Pakistan team survived the fall against great efforts from Afghanistan's team players and did not lose their confidence even after the goal by the opponent team as well. Both teams showed great foot-work along with their passionate speed in the ground as both found each other's back of the net with brilliant shots one-one (1-1) and further did not let each other goal anymore till the end of the match.

The National Pakistani squad comprised of players both Under-23 and Seniors. Pakistan Under-23 will feature in the Olympic qualifiers in March. The Senior side will take part in the World Cup qualifiers next summer. Brazilian coach Jose Antonio Nogueira accompanied the team as their head coach.
The young players have been included as part of PFF’s youth development policy. This is one of the many preparatory tours for the National Team squad ahead of the Pre-World Cup Qualification next year.
