Army, WAPDA & Police win National Inter-departmental Men’s Netball Championship openers
A total of six (6) teams are participating in this 3-day National Inter-departmental Men’s Netball Championship which is being contested from 18 to 20 December at Pakistan Sports Board Coaching Centre in Karachi.
Pakistan Netball Federation (PNF) in joint efforts with Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) has organized this three-day Inter-departmental Men’s Netball Championship on a national level which is featuring all the affiliated department teams such as: Pakistan Army, WAPDA, Pakistan Navy, Pakistan Air Force (PAF), Pakistan Police and Railways.
In the first match played between Army and Pakistan Air Force (PAF) teams who were battling it out for the win in the game, Army proved their excellent dubbing and accurate shooting skills through their players who earned the team victory by defeating the opponent team in a hard-fought match 40-31.
In the other encounter between Railways and WAPDA teams, WAPDA players made Railways team suffer the loss of the game by a huge margin of a 64-14 score and finished the match as a one-sided encounter.
While Police boy’s netball team managed to win over Navy by 33-23 in the last match of the day.
Director PSB Coaching Centre, Rafique Ahmed Pirzada was the honorable chief guest on opening ceremony along with President PNF, Mudassar Arain and President PASSO, Gohar Raz.
