Pakistan manages third spot in Triangular Futsal Series 2018
Triangular Futsal Series 2018 successfully concluded with Pakistan finishing at the third position at Liaquat Gymnasim, Pakistan Sports Complex in Islamabad.
Due to some unprecedented circumstances the event "Asian Futsal Championship" had been scaled down to "Triangular Futsal Series". The full scale championship was rescheduled.
Although the Chairman Pakistan Futsal Federation, Malik Mehrban Ali said that 12 countries will take part in the championship and invitation letter have already been sent to the participant teams but now only three teams competed in the championship as the Futsal teams from Afghanistan and Nepal already arrived in Pakistan.
The series was played between three nations which included: Pakistan, Afghanistan and Nepal.
Dr. Fahmida Mirza, Minister IPC was guest of honor at the inaugural ceremony of the championship who was welcomed by Pakistan Soccer Futsal Federation (PSFF) along with Parlimentary Secretary IPC, Ms. Syma Nadeem and Ambassador of Nepal to Islamic Republic of Pakistan, H. E. Ms. Sewa Lamsal Adhikari.
The final result of the championship concludes as Afghanistan Futsal team claiming the trophy of the championship along with 100,000 PKR worth of cash prize. They are followed by Nepal Futsal team which ended on the runner up spot. While Pakistan managed the third position in the championship.
Trophies, Medals and Certificates were awarded to the high achievers at the concluding ceremony of the championship as well.
