6th Servis Tyres 15s Rugby Championship begins today
As many as 15 teams are participating in this one-day 6th Servis Tyres 15s Rugby Championship which is schedule to be held today at Pakistan Rugby Academy in Lahore.
Pakistan Rugby Union is organizing its main premier event of the year in its sixth edition this time and the event has been named as “6th Servis Tyres 15s Rugby Championship”
A total of 15 teams are to take part in this championship and these 15 teams will be divided into four different divisions.
According to the information provided by Rugby Services Manager, Syed Mozzam Ali Shah, this year Servis Tyres league will be huge as there are several teams who have confirmed their participation in this championship from all over Pakistan.
Following is the teams' division:
Division I teams: Lahore Rugby Football club, Islamabad and Lahore Hawks.
Division II teams: Desert Camels Bahwalnagar, Lodhran, Multan and Police.
Division III teams: Shaheen Rugby football Club, Dunya Pur, Vehari and Kot Addu.
Division IV teams: FATA, Khyber Pakhtumkhawa, Quetta and Karachi.
Quetta and Karachi Rugby teams are two new entries this year in the league.
Servis Tyres are the title sponsors in this event to which Pakistan Rugby Union Chairman, Fawzi Khwaja, thanked Chaudry Arif Saeed, Director Servis Tyres on his generous support which they have continued from last six years and to this year as well.
In Kot Addu, Division III match will be conducted between Kot Addu and Shaheen RFC teams. While in Vehari, Dunya Pur team will be up against the host team Vehari. Whereas in another match, Lahore Hawks will face Lahore Rugby football club.
