Salman, Maaz, Sapna & Afnan triumphant in 1st DG Sports Taekwondo Championship

1st DG Sports Taekwondo Championship ended successfully with several fighters winning in their respective categories at Hayatabad Sports Complex in Peshawar.

Directorate General of Sports Khyber Pakhtunkhawa organized the three-day 1st DG Sports Taekwondo Championship which featured competitions in both boys and girls categories of Boys Senior Under 15, Under-13, Girls Juniors and Boys Juniors.  

Salman, Maaz, Sapna and Afnan are the top four (4) players to win gold medals in their respective categories. While, Sapna and Shehryaar were declared the overall best players of the championship.

Director National Book Foundation, Mr. Murad Ali Mohmand along with Syed Jaffar Shah (Administrator HSC), Riaz Khan, Asad Ghaffar , Syed Shahzad and Ibrahim were the guests of honor on the final day of the championship who encouraged players as well as awarded the high achievers with several prizes and medals.  

Mr. Murad Ali Mohmand praised the efforts of DG Sports Mr. Junaid Khan and said that activities like this will further boost the morale of players and announced DC Sports Gala which will include: Badminton, Table Tennis, Taekwondo and Football events. This event will be sponsored by DHA Peshawar.

He added that, from 21st December Murad Champ Badminton Event is scheduled which is sponsored by Directorate of Sports Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Badders Club is facilitating and organizing that event.
