Mustafa Faran set new Asian record by wining 2 Gold, 1 Silver & 1 Bronze in Asian Classic Powerlifting Championship 2018
18 year old Mustafa Faran Baig created a new Asian record in Mongolia by winning 2 Gold, 1 Silver and 1 Bronze medal in classic powerlifting in Asian Classic Powerlifting Championship held at Mangoli.
Pakistan found another outstanding talent in form of Mustafa Faran Baig, who sets a new Asian record in Mongolia by winning 2 Gold, 1 Silver and 1 Bronze medal in classic powerlifting in Asian Classic Powerlifting Championship held at Mangolia.
18 year old Mustafa Faran Baig was the only player who represented Pakistan in these games which are being participated by players from 37 different countries including 40 from India, 60 from China and 30 from Japan.
Mustafa created a New Asian Record in Dead Lift Event with 232.5 Kg by wining Two Gold, One Silver and One Bronze for Pakistan competing in 93 Kg Category of Asian Sub-Juniors.
Results:
Squat: Gold Medal: 190kg,
Bench Press: Bronze Medal: 115kg
Dead Lift: Gold Medal: 232.5kg (A new Asian record)
Total:silver medal: 537.5kg

Mustafa is also outstanding in educational field, as he is A-level student, who qualified O-level with straight A in all subjects. He is school prefect for Atchison College. Beside power-lifting, Mustafa is also outstanding in football as and he is a captain of school football team.
He played international football tournament in Italy, Spain and Czech Republic. He also played for Sparta Football Club and was captain of British International School in Prague.
Appreciating the efforts of Mustafa, his admirers said that government should patronize this rare talent so that Pakistan can mark its identity in international arena of games beside cricket and hockey.
Pakistan team will return home on December 12 at 05:00 am at Lahore airport.
Asian Classic Powerlifting Championships are being staged under the auspices of Asian Powerlifting Federation in collaboration with the host country’s Mongolian United Powerlifting Federation.
This year’s Asian Classic Championship was attended by 18 nations, and 253 athletes despite being held in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, a country which experiences extreme winter climes and temperatures dip to -30 degrees Celsius and below in December.
Participated countries include: Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Indonesia, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, India, Iran, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, UAE,Pakistan, Kuwait, Iraq, Oman and the hosts, Mongolia.
