Pakistan Navy Shooter Ghulam Mustafa Bashir retain#10 spot in ISSF Rankings

Pakistan Navy Shooter Ghulam Mustafa Bashir retain no. 10 spot of 25 meter Rapid Fire Pistol category in the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF)

Pakistani shooters have made their presence felt at international level as for the month of December, Pakistani shooters have slightly improved their rankings.The International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) released its rankings.

Pakistan Navy’s shooter Ghulam Mustafa Bashir retained his no. 10 spot in the 25 meter Rapid Fire Pistol category.Earlier, Ghulam Mustafa Bashir became world number 11 out of 88 in 25 meter rapid fire pistol category in the October 2018 rankings.

Bashir achieved a career-best score of 583 points and career-best seventh position in the world cup in Korea. 

Similarly, Mohammad Khalil Akhtar also retained his no. 30 spot in the same category.Earlier, Khalil achived the 33rd spot in the same category according to the 201, October ISSF Rankings.Khalil  achieved his career best score of 579 points in the world cup in South Korea.

Zeeshan-ul-Farid is ranked 139th out of 208 in 10-metre air rifle category for men.Similarly, Minhal Sohail improved her ranking from 163 to 153 in the 10 meter Air Rifle category for women.

Minhal achieved her career best score of 614.7 points in the world cup in rifle category. Zeeshan too achieved his career best score of 614.2 points in the rifle category in the world cup. 

An official of National Rifle Association of Pakistan (NRAP) said that they would continue sending shooters to international events to earn quota places for Tokyo 2020.

“It’s a big achievement that our shooters who have secured good international rankings. I hope they will soon win entry to the Tokyo Olympics 2020 on the basis of their performance,” he added.
