Navy win 2-1 over SNGPL in 12th Pakistan Premier Football League

Navy team marked its fifth win in the match played into the Karachi phase of 2018 Pakistan Premier Football League which is being played at Korangi Baloch Football ground, Karachi.

Navy and Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) football teams locked horns against each other in the match played yesterday in which Navy registered its fifth win from their overall 15 matches.

Navy’s Farhan Ullah attempted the first goal opportunity and got successful in opening the scoring tally for his team taking the lead into the game at 44th minute to which SNGPL players were not left with any further time to equalize the score in the first half. But they did get successful only once when Aleem Sawar slotted the ball into the 66th minute through header on a corner kick into Navy’s net.

But the experienced Navy kept the pressure up and took the decisive lead through Abdul Haq whose pile-driver from 36 yards went into the opposite net in 81st minute which doubled their lead.

The man-marking pattern of Navy players underwent not even a small change because whenever SNGPL boys managed to overcome the pressure of losing the game specially when they were left with opponent’s 2 goals lead, the winning team’s footballers did not let their attempts pass through their goal post leaving them empty handed at the end.

Fakhar Ijaz of SNGPL was the sole player to receive a yellow card warning for foul play in the game. Today, the strong K-Electric will face Karachi Port Trust (KPT) at the KMC Stadium in Karachi.
