Rawalpindi win All Pakistan Inter-Board Netball Girls C'ship title
As many as 10 teams took part in this 3-day All-Pakistan Inter-Board Netball Championship 2018 which concluded successfully at Hameedi Hall, Pakistan Sports Complex in Islamabad.
Defending Champions Rawalpindi Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education retained All Pakistan Inter-Board Netball Girls Championship title by defeating Hyderabad in a thrilling final game on a close call of 15-13 score-line.
Rawalpindi girls were up against Hyderabad team in which Rawalpindi team came out much stronger with their strategic game play through Nymra Gulzar and Madiha Zafar proving to be the key players for their win as they each scored six and five goals respectively.
However, losing side also made attempts at the target quiet longer and succeeded in most of their tries scoring 13 points at the end but Rawalpindi team made two more baskets and forced them suffer a major loss in the championship.
Whereas in the third position match, Lahore team trounced over Islamabad by 17-11.
Chairman, Pakistan Netball Federation, Capt (R) Zafar Iqbal Awan,was the chief guest who witnessed final matches and also awarded Rawalpindi girls netball team with the trophy of the championship along with prizes among the runner-up and other winner team.
Pakistan Netball Federation (PNF) organized this three-day All-Pakistan Inter-Board Netball Championship 2018 that featured a total of ten (10) boards belonging from various cities of the country which includes: Rawalpindi, Lahore, Larkana, Hyderabad, Abbottabad, Mardan, Peshawar, Sahiwal, Bahawalpur and Gujranwala.
