Barkat, Ahmed,Rehman qualify for US$15,000 Serena Hotels ITF Futures Championships-2018
The Pakistan trio of Barkat Khan, Ahmed Chaudhry and Malik Abdul Rehman qualified for the men’s singles main round of the Serena Hotels ITF Futures Championships-2018 at the PTF Complex, Islamabad.
The two-day qualifying round of US $ 15,000 Serena Hotels ITF Futures I Championships 2018 concluded with eight matches being decided with the winners advancing to the main round that begins from today (Monday) here at the PTF Complex.
The Pakistan trio of Barkat Khan, Ahmed Chaudhry and Malik Abdul Rehman are among those who have made it to the next phase, while their compatriots Heera Ashiq, Yousuf Khalil, Mohammad Shoaib and Mudassar Murtaza all received wildcards for the men’s singles.
Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) has also given wildcards to the pairs of Abdaal Haider and Barkat Khan, Mohammad Abid and Wagas Malik (from Canada), Mudassir Murtaza and Heera Ashiq for the main round of men’s doubles category.
It is relevant to note that in 32-player main draw, a large number of foreign players from France, Great Britain, Japan, South Korea, Russia, Poland, Uzbekistan will be seen in action.
