Shinwari Store destroys Food Safety Strikers on 5th day of Peshawar Football League Season 2

Shinwari Store & Charsadda Baryali beat their respective opponents 5-0 and 4-3 on the 5th day of Peshawar Football League Season 2 which is being staged at Tehmash Khan Football Stadium Academy in Peshawar.

 

The first match in the day witnessed Shinwari Store football team’s easy win over Food Safety Strikers as they thrashed them on a 5-0 score-line. The losing team players were caught dilly-dallying in possession on too many occasions, leaving Shinwari Store team powerful to which the players stole the ball with ease and ruthlessly surge forward to get the better of a ragged losing team’s defence.

Adnan scored twice benefiting the winning team first, just after the opening of second half at 46th then in the 50th minute. However, Asad was the star who put the winning team on the score sheet just 10 minutes into the game and with the support of Maab Ali and Javed’s 1 goal each, the team altogether wrapped up the win with netting 5 goals over Food Safety Strikers’ none as they completed a miserable game falling to Shinwari Store football team.

While in the second encounter, Charsadda Baryali and Hayatabad Turyali played out a thrilling 4-3 match. Players from both teams tried their best to score against the other side but the score-line remained goalless at the end of scheduled time.

Penalty shootout therefore determined the outcome of the match in which Charsadda Baryali team took the lead on goals by securing 4 goals on 5 penalty kicks where Waqar, Javed, Nadeem GK and Affan each scored one goal and earned their team the victory in the game.

However, the losing team players also demonstrated quiet a good game as they managed to convert 3 of their 5 penalty attempts thus losing the game on 4-3. For Hayatabad Turyali, Khalid, Zaji Tahir and Saqib netted one goal each.

Youth Gleam Welfare Organization has organized Peshawar Football League Season 2 under their eminent project “Bring Back Sports in KP”. This movement began with sports events from street and later culminated into sports initiatives that got recognition from high authorities. The organization has been registered in 2010 as a non-governmental non-profitable youth oriented organization that strive to serve Pakistan by supporting and promoting youth oriented healthy activities in the country.

This 8-day league is featuring a total of 14 teams from all around Khyber Pakhtunkhwa district in which boys from their respective teams and clubs are seen battling each other for the ultimate title and prize gain in the league.
