WAPDA & KRL survive in 12th Pakistan Premier Football League
WAPDA and KRL defeated Army and NBP 2-0 and 1-0 in the matched played into the final phase of 2018 Pakistan Premier Football League which is being staged at KPT and KMC grounds in Karachi.
12th Pakistan Premier Football League Qila Qasim Bagh, Multan, Punjab Stadium, Lahore, KPT and KMC, Karachi.Four matches were played in the second last phase of the league in which two matches witnessed WAPDA and KRL teams victories while the other two matches resulted in a 1-1 draw between all Navy and Muslim FC and also CAA and SSGC teams.
WAPDA won the match and made Army team suffer although WAPDA boys were seen rolling in action from the start of the match till the end as they crushed the opponent by a difference of two (2) goals against their zero (0) goals through a perfect attempt by Muhammad Ahmed in just the 9th minute of the game. Winning side’s men did not let the Army men attempts pass through their goal post each time they came close as they were strong in their defence as well as with their goal keeping. Muhmmad Ahmed was, yet again, the star player to score for the winning team in the injury time and ended the game in WAPDA’s favor.
While KRL team’s victory came by the narrowest of margins 1-0 over NBP team but it was a fully deserved success for them as the managed their only goal by Azhar Ullah just when the match seemed to finish in a goalless draw but Azhar netted past the ball through several opponent team players approaching in the 70th minute which earned KRL team the win of the match.
However NBP players also managed to create several decent chances to add to their scoring through the game but they did not get successful because KRL side was strictly stubborn with protecting their goal post.
In another encounter of the day, Navy and Muslim football teams played a 1-1 draw game but it was Navy’s Bilal who scored first in the game at the 18th minute where as Muslim FC boy Himmat Khan equalized the score-line much later when he delivered the ball at the back of the opponent’s net in the 69th minute.
PAK CAA and SSGC’s match also ended in a 1 – 1 draw players from both side netted one goal each for their team, CAA’s Muhammad Bilal managed to secure a goal for his team in the opening minutes while SSGC players as usual showing their dominating performance did not sit back and saw the opponent team winning as PAK CAA let the ball past their goal post making mistake at the 27th minute when Muhammad Lal benefited the SSGC team through a perfect land in the opposite net.
