Swabi Jaguars & Malik Saad Kings successful in Peshawar Football League Season 2
Swabi Jaguars & Malik Saad Kings defeated their respective opponents 2-0 and 4-3 on the 4th day of Peshawar Football League Season 2 which is being staged at Tehmash Khan Football Stadium Academy in Peshawar.
Malik Saad Kings squandered a four-goal lead on the fourth day of this league at Tehmash Khan Football Stadium to see their Premier League title hopes rise with their every attempt turning into goals to which they won the match. Whereas Prime Pukhtoon’s team suffered a severe blow which left the players in shock as they lost the game with just one goal difference.
Malik Saad Kings’s side looked to be maintaining the pressure of earning the title and reduced every goal gap with all their efforts at blocking and defence on the ground. Tariq was the star player for the winning team as he secured 3 goals with his great foot skill, 2 in the first half while another in the second half. He also became the first players to score hat-trick in the league. While Sohail’s 21st minute goal also contributed in the win for Malik Saad Kings team.
Whereas in the second encounter of the day, Swabi Jaguars and Food Safety Strikers team played a goalless first half till the 37th minute as soon Swabi Jaguars’ players earned the lead first time into the game through their first goal registered by Shahzaib in the 38th minute. Then Asad put the winning team in complete command as he came forward in search of more goals and succeeded at the 70th minute, landing the ball past several opponents right into the enemy net.
To this strong game-play, Food Safety Strikers team fragile defence collapsed completely as they faced serious pressure and witnessed the winning team’s players going wild with their win of the game.
Also, Match# 4 of the league was played again between DC Sarkar and Buner Tigers football teams in which Buner Tigers marked a convincing 1-4 win through their players Jamshed who opened the scoring tally for the winning team by striking the ball in the opposite goal post in just the 8th minute along with Zahir who added two more scores in the 32nd and 52nd minutes with Zahid’s contribution of a goal in the 43rd minute. Wajid netted the consolation goal for the losing team.
Youth Gleam Welfare Organization has organized Peshawar Football League Season 2 under their eminent project “Bring Back Sports in KP”. This movement began with sports events from street and later culminated into sports initiatives that got recognition from high authorities. The organization has been registered in 2010 as a non-governmental non-profitable youth oriented organization that strive to serve Pakistan by supporting and promoting youth oriented healthy activities in the country.
This 8-day league is featuring a total of 14 teams from all around Khyber Pakhtunkhwa district in which boys from their respective teams and clubs are seen battling each other for the ultimate title and prize gain in the league.
