All-Pakistan Inter Board Girls Netball C'ship gets underway
As many as 10 teams are participating in this three-day All-Pakistan Inter-Board Netball Championship 2018 which rolled into action yesterday and will continue till 30th November at Hameedi Hall, Pakistan Sports Complex in Islamabad.
Pakistan Netball Federation (PNF) has organized the three-day All-Pakistan Inter-Board Netball Championship 2018 which is featuring a total of ten (10) boards belonging from various cities of the country .
Participating teams are namely stated below:
1. Rawalpindi
2. Lahore
3. Larkana
4. Hyderabad
5. Abbottabad
6. Mardan
7. Peshawar
8. Sahiwal
9. Bahawalpur and
10. Gujranwala
Players from the above mentioned teams were seen showcasing their talent of accuracy, dripping and shooting at the basket in this sport to achieve top honors in the championship as the first day of the championship witnessed seven (7) matches being played. Rawalpindi team registered a convincing win against Peshawar on 13-1 score-line in the first match while Lahore also thrashed Mardan by huge margin of 11-3 goals. In another game, Islamabad earned a hard fought victory over Sahiwal by 7-5.
Whereas Lahore defeated Islamabad 11-6 and Hyderabad made quiet good efforts to mark a win against Rawalpindi on 15-8 points.
Rawalpindi Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education’s Dr. Tanveer Zafar inaugurated the event along with Vice President Women Wing Pakistan Netball Federation, Ashia Arian, Director Sports Rawalpindi Board, Sobia Sultana Chaudhry, President Islamabad Netball Association, Col. (R) Ghulam Murtaza Shah.
Pakistan Netball Federation (PNF) Chairman, Capt. (R) Zafar Iqbal Awan will be the chief guest at the closing ceremony of the championship.
