NBP, SSGC & PAK CAA managed hard-fought wins over their respective rivals in the last phase of 2018 Pakistan Premier Football League which is now being played at KPT and KMC grounds in Karachi.

The NBP team took a 38th-minute lead with the first goal through Dawood Javed who brilliantly slammed the ball past the Navy boys and Sher Ali then doubled their advantage nine minutes after the first goal as he found the back of the opponent’s net. NBP men from then on defended their two goal leads against Navy no goal at all.

“It was a hot and humid day. The pitch was also hard but I am happy that we managed a victory. We also missed three to four goals. But it’s fine. We will try to further raise our performance,” NBP coach, Nasir Ismail said.

While in the second game, Habib Ur Rehman’s first half goal enabled Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) to break the unbeaten run of former four-time winners Khan Research Laboratories (KRL) when they defeated them 1-0 in their crucial match. SSGC players showed more of a better performance in their foot-work and took control of the ball creating a goal opportunity in just the 13th minute to which Habib Ur Rehman found the back of KRL’s net and slammed the very first goal in the game which proved to be the only as well as the winning goal for SSGC.

Whereas in the third and last encounter of the day, Army men started the match on an attacking note and dominated possession as the players were seen launching themselves at the ball and attempting to goal for their side to which Ansar Abbas broke free of the PAK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) defence and latched onto a through ball in just the 6th minute into the match. Umar Waqas then doubled their lead in the 16th minute.

However PAK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) player Saaed Abdul Aziz scored the consolation goal for his team in the 56th minute which made the match ended on a 2-1 score-line.
