SSGC and KRL mark wins in 12th Pakistan Premier Football League

SSGC team earns a hard-fought victory over Navy by 1-0 while KRL registers win against PAK CAA on 2-1 in 2018 Pakistan Premier Football League which is now in its final phase being played at KMC and KPT grounds in Karachi.

Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) team defeated Pakistan Navy football team by scoring 1 goal and leaving Navy empty handed at the end of the scheduled time.

SSGC took a surprise lead in the first half when Muhammad Tahir netted the very first goal for his team which proved to be the winning as well as the only goal of the game. The losing team’s players were frustrated throughout the play as despite their enormous attempts and having several chances to score, missed with their efforts saved by the winning team’s perfect defence and goalkeeping each team.

Navy missed out on winning just by 1 point, they could have scored after the first goal by their opponent team as they had much time but their players wasted all their chances to net past even a single goal. Navy’s Muhammad Sumair received a foul play warning in the 46th minute which kept the losing team’s wasteful performance in this match.

In the second encounter, KRL team managed to outscore PAK CAA team by 2-1 through producing their classier game in just the 9th minute as talented Iftikhar Ali Khan slotted a perfect attempt right into the opponent’s net. Zia Us Islam then doubled the lead as he slotted the ball past the advancing opponent’s goalkeeper in the 60th minute. However, PAK CAA’s Muhammad Naeem made sure to not let his team suffer the loss on making no goals at all and slammed the ball brilliantly in the 87th minute and made it a 2-1 defeat rather than 2-0.

Whereas in the last match of the day, Karachi Port Trust (KPT) men held Muslim FC boys in a goalless draw.
