Neighborhood and Karachi book semi-final berth in 3rd Essa Lab Basketball Tournament
Neighborhood Basketball Club defeated Clifton Crossover by 36-29 while Karachi Basketball Club overpowered One Unit Club 26-19 in the quarter-final matches played at Arambagh Basketball Courts in Karachi.
The two more quarter-final games played between Neighborhood Basketball Club, Clifton Crossover, Karachi Basketball Club and One Unit Club concluded with Neighborhood and Karachi Basketball Clubs wins which booked them place in the semi-final stage of the tournament.
In the first match of the day, Neighborhood Basketball team boys looked as though they would roll throughout and will bolt a win but Clifton Crossover men also made hard efforts of winning but were not able to outscore the winning team whose players made them suffer loss by leading the game on 36-29. Chen scored a game-high 16 points while Asad Ali and Abdullah added 4 points each.
The other encounter witnessed One Unit Club's fall to Karachi Basketball Club as they got a commanding 26 points lead through Rajkumar Lakhwani who made 10 shots along with Fazeel Ahmed and Zain Ul Abideen each contributing 8 points for the win with their dribbling and shooting accuracy.
However, One Unit Club first won against Usman Club but then lost to Karachi Basketball team even though they were seen playing in full momentum as Tashqain and Nihal managed 8 points each but even with their attempts their team lost the match and suffers not to be able to play anymore for the title of the tournament.
