3rd Essa Lab Basketball Tournament moves to the semi-final stage
Askari Club and One Unit Club defeated their respective opponents and made it to the semi-final stage of 3rd Essa Lab Basketball Tournament which is being held at Arambagh Baskeball Court in Karachi.
The first quarter final game of the day witnessed Askari team players, as a whole worked hard enough to earn the victory by defeating the opponents Omega club on a 54-50 score-line. Their Anas Usman proved to be the key player scoring 18 points claiming the win along with Zain Ullah and Saad Khan’s 12 shots each.
However, the losing side was also well prepared as they lost the match on a close call for which the credit goes to the star player Anas Azhar who made it to the basket 18 times and Kenneth Johnson who scored 11 and Mohammad Riaz’s 10 points in total.
Whereas in the other quarter final match played, One Unit Club’s basketball team battled with Usman Club boys in which they crushed the opponents by their thrilling performance on 53-33. The players of the winning team displayed a splendid game and tamed the losing team as they were certain to book their place in the semi-final game and what made it possible was their shooting accuracy 28 times by Kashif Hussain along with talented Tashqain who shot 14 and also Yahya Khan scored 8 points.
For the losing side, Hamza Khwaja, Nofil and Daniyal Khan managed to hit the basket 10, 9 and 8 times respectively.
