14th National Women Softball C’ship commences today
As many as seven (7) teams are participating in this three-day championship which is scheduled to begin from today and will continue till 18th November at Government Girls Degree College in Quetta.
As announced by Secretary General of Softball Federation Pakistan (SFP), Asif Azeem, the 14th edition of National Women’s Softball Championship is being organized by Softball Federation Pakistan (SFP) which will be hosted by Baluchistan Softball Association (BSA) along with Baluchistan Sports Board.
The 14th National Women’s Softball Championship is all set to commence from today which is featuring a total of seven (7) teams belonging to Pakistan’s leading departments and as well as provinces, will be showcasing their skills and will fight for the ultimate title gain in the championship.
Participating teams includes: Army, WAPDA, Sindh, Punjab, Baluchistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Federal Capital of Pakistan; Islamabad.
MPA, Baluchistan Assembly Ahmed Nawaz will inaugurate the three-day event and the opening match of the championship will be played between Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Baluchistan women softball teams.
Meanwhile, SFP President Haider Khan Lehri has appointed BSA’s Naseem Khan as the Organizing Secretary for the championship.
Naseem Khan stated that they are confident to make this tournament successful and Baluchistan is a safe place where all kind of sporting events can take place easily. “I think we are able to host sporting events in Baluchistan which looks for such opportunities,” he added.
