Omega and Civil teams prompt wins in 3rd Essa Lab Basketball Tournament
Omega trashed Arambagh Club by 70-32 and Civil Basketball team crushed Burns Road Gymkhana 52-35 on the second day of 3rd Essa Lab Basketball Tournament which is being played at Arambagh Basketball Court in Karachi.
In first match of the day Omega basketball team outplayed their rivals Arambagh club in 70-32 and ended the game as a one-sided encounter. Arambagh boys were lacking skills, stamina and form against the super fit Omega players as they dominated the game right from the start and through there impressive ball-handling skills reduced every possible chance for the losing team to even slightly come close the win.
Tahir Naqqash proved as a key player for the winning team as he dunked 32 points right through the basket with queit well assists by his team mate Mohammad Tipu who managed to score 17 points. Anas Zaheer’s 10 and Taimur Zaheer’s 7 points also contributed in the big win for Omega team.
While in the other game, Civil Basketball Club also finished the match as a one-sided encounter after crushing opponent team; Burns Road Gymkhana on 52-35. The winning team started putting opponents in pressure through Moin, Shariq and Anas as they earned 30, 7 and 7 points each respectively with their excellent passing and dipping skills.
This 15-day long basketball action will be played till 26th November and is organized by KBBA in collaboration with PSWA.
