Sindh, Army wins National Gymnastics Championships 2018
Sindh stands at the top spot in women contests while Army stands at the first spot in men’s competitions in the 2018 National Gymnastic Championship which was conducted at Sindh University in Jamshoro.
Sindh Gymnastics Association (SGA) under the supervision of Pakistan Gymnastics Federation (PGF) organized the 2018 National Gymnastics Championships in which various gymnasts belonging to several departments of Pakistan as well as provinces participated. This three-day championship was sponsored by Diamond Foam.
Misha Saqib defended her title as Sindh were crowned champions in women’s contests and they were followed by Army and Punjab. Whereas Army also stands at first position of men’s competitions with securing the most; 298 points and they were followed by WAPDA who managed the second spot and third spot went to Punjab.
In women competitions, Sindh Greens emerged winners with 95.84 points. While Army gymnasts followed them by securing a total of 89.83 points and Punjab managed to stand on third position with 77.57 points.
Sindh Green’s Misha Saqib was declared the best gymnast and Fatima Samar also from Sindh Greens came second and Syeda Rubab of Army finished third. Whereas in men’s gymnastics, Army’s Ansar Abbas was declared the best male gymnast.

2. Saboor Saifullah (Army) – Silver Medal
3. Syeda Rubab (Punjab) – Bronze Medal
Individual Balance Beam:
1. Misha Saqib (Sindh Greens) – Gold Medal
2. Rabia Azam (Army) – Silver Medal
3. Fatima Samar – Bronze Medal
Individual Floor:
1. Misha Saqib (Sindh Greens) – Gold Medal
2. Fatima Samar – Silver Medal
3. Rabia Azam (Punjab) – Bronze Medal
Major Mehmood Riaz, K-Electric Head of Sports and Marketing and Dr. Asma Ali Shah distributed the prizes among the high achievers in the championship.
