Karachi Basketball Club earns victory in 3rd Essa Lab Basketball Tournament
Karachi Basketball Club defeated Usman Basketball Club 52-46 in the opening match of the 3rd Essa Lab Basketball Tournament which is being played at here at Arambagh Basketball Courts in Karachi.
Pakistan Youth Sports Welfare Association (PYSWA) in collaboration with Karachi Basketball Association (KBBA) has organized the 3rd Essa Lab Basketball Tournament in which a total of 12 teams and 240 players will be seen competing against each other for the top honors in the tournament. This 15-day long basketball action will be played from 12th to 26th November.
The opening match of the tournament witnessed Karachi Basketball Club battling with Usman Club as the boys from Usman Club were in good form and were seen ready to make a win in the game but they could not match the stamina and energy of Karachi Basketball Club men and eventually suffered a loss of 52-46 at the end.
Karachi Basketball Club was able to accomplish this win through their star players Raj Kumar Lakhwani who stunned the opponents with his 15 perfect shots which made it to the basket along with his team mates Wajeeh Ahmed and Talal Ahmed who each contributed 10 points in the win for Karachi Basketball Club. Also, Asad Imam dubbed 8 points.
Whereas Usman Club players struggled to win through Haris Khan's efforts of 10 points with Nofil Ahmed and Usman Khawaja’s 8 points each which made the losing team not suffer as badly as they could have suffered.
Member Sindh Assembly, Dr. Imran Ali Shah as a chief guest inaugurated the tournament along with KBBA officials while Commissioner Karachi, Iftikhar Shirwani will be the chief guest at the final of the tournament.
