4 Pakistani cueists to feature in IBSF World Snooker Championship 2018
A four-member Pakistan team including Babar Masih, Muhammad Asif, Muhammad Bilal and Imran Shahzad will participate in IBSF World Snooker Championship 2018 to be held in Myanmar from November 18th- 27th.
More than 100 players from 20 countries are going to take part in the World Snooker Championship 2018 will be held at Yangon, Myanmar from November 18th- 27th.
A four-member Pakistan team including Babar Masih, Muhammad Asif, Muhammad Bilal and Imran Shahzad will participate in the mega event without any training camp organized by the federation.
Imran Shahzad will feature in master’s category while the other three cueists will vie in men's category.
"Pakistan Billiards and Snooker Association (PBSA) have not arranged even a single training camp for the players to prepare for the said championship which is very disappointing," Babar said.
He said I had asked PBSA president Munawwar Hussain Shaikh to organize training camp for the championship but he refused saying there is very less time in the championship.
"All four of us (cueists) have been preparing for the championship at our own respective clubs at our hometowns," he said and added he has been practicing 8 to 10 hours a day at his club in Rawalpindi.
Babar said not holding a training camp for the World championship is not at all a professional approach by PBSA.
"It would not have mattered much if it was just an ordinary championship but this is a World event," he said.
