Islamabad Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) Open Championship 2018 on 11th Nov.

A total of 8 weight category contests will be conducted in the 2018 Islamabad Jiu Jitsu Open Championship which is scheduled to be held on 11th November at The Amir Khan Boxing Hall in Islamabad.

Jiu Jitsu Association of Pakistan in co-operation with the Embassy of Brazil is organizing the first ever Islamabad Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) Open Championship. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a martial art, combat sport system that focuses on grappling and especially ground fighting. 

This championship will be featuring competitions in total eight weight categories for both male and female fighters who will be seen competing against each other in the upcoming contests for the ultimate title gain in the championship.

Men fighters will have their fights in -56 kg, -62 kg, -69 kg, -76 kg, -82 kg, -88 kg and -94 kg whereas for women, only one weight category is made available which is -65 kg.

All White Belt fights will be of 5 minutes and all the other colored Belts’ fights’ will be of 6 minutes. Each division will have 3 medal winners and the losers of the semi-final bout will fight for Bronze medal. And all the fights will be conducted under approved Jiu Jitsu International Federation (JJIF) and UAE Jiu Jitsu (UAEJJ) rules.
