Lyceum, The City School and Nixor College crown titles of All-Karachi Inter-School Basketball Tournament

Nixor College, Lyceum and The City School earned the titles of the tournament by defeating their respective opponents in the final of All-Karachi Hashmat Ullah Lodhi Inter-School Basketball Tournament which was being held at Arambagh Court in Karachi.

Nixor College snapped a 61-game winning streak in A-Level category by performing brilliantly on the final day of All-Karachi Hashmat Ullah Lodhi Inter-School Basketball Tournament as they players crushed the opponent basketball team Bahria College Nore 1 by a huge difference of 33 points.

Nixor College named the match to their side through their leading scorers; Muhammad Furqan who ducked 18 points along with Ruhaib Das who slammed 12 points with Raaif Nawaz’s 10 points. These three along with the great team work led their teams towards the victory in the tournament.

Whereas the second match was played in the girls category between Lyceum School and Indus Academy in which Indus Academy had to suffer the severe loss despite their previous good games by the hands of the winning team players, who as a whole worked hard enough to earn this victory on a 24-11 score-line.

Ayesha Ijlal proved to be the key player scoring 15 points and claiming the win along with Shahama and Maira’s 4 and 3 shots each.

In O-Levels Boys category final, The City School (PAF) lifted the trophy after gaining a hard fought victory against Habib Public School on a close call of 23-20 scores. Hamza Bukhari’s 14 successful shots made it possible for The City School to have them celebrate the final victory in the game.

A total of 20 leading schools and colleges of Karachi featured in this 15-day event which was organized by Karachi Basketball Association (KBBA) in joint efforts with Nasir Academy.

Dr. Sarosh Lodhi, NED Vice Chancellor was the chief guest on the closing ceremony who also presented trophies and cash prizes to the high achievers and participants of the tournament.
