Rehman leads Navy to win in 12th Pakistan Premier Football League

Navy stuns Army by winning 2-1 while KRL managed another win by defeating KPT 1-0 in Pakistan Premier Football League 2018 which is being played at Punjab Football Stadium in Lahore.

Navy and Army football teams were up against each other after a resting day into the league. Both sides readily exchanged blows in an entertaining start at the Stadium before Army’s Abdul Rehman made the breakthrough.

Man of the match Abdul Rehman fired Navy into the lead on 15 minutes, converting a neat attempt which landed perfectly into the back of the opposite net. However, Army team made spurning a glorious chance to level the lead just before the whistle for the first half time through their player Mateen Tariq.

But Navy team was not yet ready to let the opponents win or even draw the match as Abdul Rehman continued his fine form and showed an exquisite attack once again which slammed right into the opponent net just after 4 mintues to Army’s solidarity goal.

Whereas Khan Research Laboritries (KRL) team battled with Karachi Port Trust (KPT) in which KRL boys dazzled over KPT footballers ensuring their win in the game through Umair Ali’s 81 minute goal into the match.

Muhammad Adil, Muhammad Waseem, Shoiab Nisar, Muhammad Sumair and Muhammad Fazal belonging to their respective teams, were the players to receive a yellow card warning for foul play in the game.

The league will have its Lahore phase end soon by 9th of November and then the last phase will begin in Karachi.
