Bahria College to face HPS in All-Karachi Inter-school Basketball Tournament final
Bahria College and Habib School beat their respective opponents and qualified for the final stage of All-Karachi Hashmat Ullah Lodhi Inter-School Basketball Tournament which will be played today at Arambagh Court in Karachi.
The semi-final day of the tournament witnessed Bahria College beat Alpha College in the first match of the day. Bahria College players accomplished this win for the game by showing their hard work at running, dibbling and shooting with accuracy at the basket making 39 points against the opponent’s 27 points in total.
Obaid Ur Rehman scored 10 points for the winning team while Zain Ali dubbed 8 points and Sohail Ahmed earned 6 points making a total of 39 for the winning team. Whereas Raheem Ahmed and Arab Qureshi both scored 17 and 8 points each respectively, for the losing team.
It was a hard fought victory for Bahria College as the enemy team players were close to winning as well which earned them respect against to not end the match as a one sided encounter.
And in the second encounter, Habib Public School was up against Army Public School in which Habib Public School thrashed them on 42-23 score-line. Bahram Khan scored the most points for the winning team i.e. 24 while Ibad Hussain erupted 10 points with Khizar Hussain’s contribution of 4 points led Habib Public School to a straight win in the match.
APS basketball team struggled through the skills of the winning team’s players and could not match their stamina and talent even with their star players Faheem Khan and Danish Hussain who basketed 11 and 7 points each, respectively.
In third and last match of the day, St. Patrick's School marked an easy win by crushing The City School (Darakhshan Chapter) on 19-0. It did not take much effort for the winning team’s players to struggle for the win as they kept exposing the week game-play of the losing team. Christopher proved as the key player scoring 17 points with the support of Muhammad Ali who made 2 shots and earn their team the win.
The finals of the tournament will be played today at Arambagh Basketball Court in Karachi.
