Pakistan finishes at seventh spot in ITPF 2018 Tent Pegging World Cup

Pakistan secured the seventh spot with 423 points while Nasser Hussain secured 147.5 points to seals the 2nd spot in Individual event of the ITPF 2018 Tent Pegging World Cup held in Abu Dhabi UAE.

 
Pakistan six member Tent Pegging riders team secured the seventh spot with 423 points while Nasser Hussain secured 147.5 points to seals the 2nd spot in Individual event of the ITPF 2018 Tent Pegging World Cup held in Abu Dhabi UAE. 

Total 12 top teams including the host UAE, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Yemen, Sudan, South Africa, Pakistan, India, Norway, Iraq, Egypt and Oman participated in the ITPF 2018 Tent Pegging World Cup held in Abu Dhabi UAE.

The final day has seen tough competition among the participating teams in the singles and teams level.

The total points for the participating teams in the singles and teams events amounted to 336 points with 84 points for each horse rider.

The competition included two rounds, the first round is of 6cms and the second 4cms. The first round was for cutting two lemons and pegging a tent with a sword.

The second round was for pegging two rings and a tent with a sword in two legs the first for 6cms and the second for 4cms.

The competition concluded with a round for the teams (sword and arrow) in two rounds, the first for the arrow 4cms and the second for sword 6cms.

Regarding the overall results of the three days of competition, the first place and gold medal went to Egypt with 533 points, the second place and silver medal went to South Africa with 522 points and the third place was secured by Oman with 470 points, the fourth place went to Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with 464.5 points, Sudan took the fifth place with 451 points, followed by India in the sixth place with 442 points.

The seventh spot was occupied by Pakistan with 423 points, the ninth place for Jordan with 410 points, tenth place went to the UAE with a total of 394.5 points and the eleventh place went to Norway with a maximum of 302.5 points.

The overall results for the singles are as follows; Mahmoud Zagzoug of Egypt secured first position with 148 points while  Muhammad Nasir Abbas of  Pakistan secured second spot with 147.5 points and Ghali Safi of Egypt seals third place with 139 points.

After a period of ten years, Pakistan participated the tent pegging world cup.
