Indus Academy book place in 2018 Inert School Boys and Girls Basketball Tournament semis
Indus Academy won over The City School PAF 23-17 and qualified for the first semi-final of Prof. Hashmat Ullah Lodhi Inert School Boys and Girls Basketball Tournament 2018 which is being played at Arambagh Court, Karachi.
Indus Academy was up against The City School PAF in the A Level Boys Category in which Indus Academy boys overpowered the weak City School PAF team in a one sided encounter of 23-17.
The boys from Indus Academy knew they had to fight hard to reach the semi-final stage of tournament so as to earn the title for their team but they faced a weak game-play from the opposite side which allowed them to gain a comfortable win in the match.
As both the teams tried their level best to rule the day, Indus Academy came out much stronger who thwarted to make their place in the semi-final showing more composure in the game than their opponents.
Talented Muhammad Harris led the attack for the winning team through scoring 13 points whereas Sufwan made 4 shoots and Bukhari scored 3 points. All the boys displayed their true skills proving their fine game of dribble, pass and shoot on the floor.
For the losing team they did try to get better in their game but ended up losing with their player Dada’s 5 and Ayan Ali and Hamza, who both scored 4 points each. The City School PAF failed at their performance thus suffered at the hands of the winning team.
Whereas in A Level Girl’s Category, Indus Academy thrashed the favorites Nixor College with a huge margin of 17-4 and booked their place in the final of the tournament.
