Ali thwarts ASM to win in 12th Pakistan Premier Football League

Army win over Ashraf Sugar Mills FC by a close call on 1-0 while Navy thrashed KPT 5-1 in 2018 Pakistan Premier Football League which is now being played at Punjab Football Stadium in Lahore.

Although the victory came by the narrowest of margins, it was a fully deserved success for the Army team, who managed to create several decent chances to add to their scoring through the game and finally got successful when Ali Raza delivered the ball at the back of the opponent’s net in the 87th minute against the stubborn Ashraf Sugar Mills defence who’s players finally let the ball past their goal post for Army.

There were also a couple of efforts on target made by the losing team’s players who delivered a bright performance from the starting as they attempted to increase their intensity in the final stages after Army finally conceded a goal which had them threaten to lose the game but the players were not able to score to win or neither draw the match as the goal from the winning team came in the dying moments not giving them time to remove pressure of losing from the team players.

Army footballers forced the opposite side to lose on a 1-0 score-line through conceding a consolation goal for the win in the game.

Whereas in the second match for the day, Karachi Port Trust (KPT) boys suffered badly at the hands of Navy footballers who named the win for the match to their side by smashing 5 goals against KPT’S one and only goal.

Abdul Rehman scored twice for Navy becoming the star player for the match and Naveed Ahmed, Saddam Hussain and Hassan Faiz scored 1 goal each leading their team towards the victory of the game.
