KPT finally registers a win in 12th Pakistan Premier Football League

KPT beat Ashraf Sugar Mills on a close call of 3-2 in 12th Pakistan Premier Football League which is now being played at Punjab Stadium in Lahore.

 

The Karachi Port Trust team started at a whirlwind pace and the opponent team had to withstand a constant barrage of attacks right from the start.

KPT’s striker Mohammad Bin Younis was the hero, finally earning his team a victory in the league as he brilliantly slammed 2 goals for his team. Other members of the team contributed through a string of fabulous saves as the Ashraf Sugar Mills giants pressed to claw back at the score-line to turn the table in their favor.

Footballers from KPT enjoyed the bulk of possession which Ashraf Sugar Mills boys tried hard to take away to them but the players could not break down the hard-working KPT side. Waseem Cheema was another KPT star, making a number of great tackles plus attempts and finally got successful in the 50th minute adding yet another goal for the winning team.

With more than half of the match gone for Ashraf Sugar Mills team, the players made a comeback in the end as they went all out to score 2 goals through Sami Ullah that helped them reduce the deficit score-line to 2-3.

Karachi Port Trust coach, Fareed said,“It is indeed a morale-boosting win for us. After playing a few matches against top oppositions which we lost, the boys’ morale had gone down.”
