35th Punjab Governor Amateur Golf Cup tees off today
As many as 272 golfers will participate in Punjab Governor Amateur Golf Cup 2018 which is scheduled to be held from 26th to 28th October at Gymkhana Golf Club in Lahore.
A total of 272 golfers will take part in this three-day golf championship in which competitions will be held in 5 different categories.
Following are the categories:
1. Men’s Amateurs
2. Seniors’ competition
3. Ladies' contest
4. Veterans' competition and
5. Juniors
' competition
Contests for Men’s Amateurs category will be held for both net and gross events with the golfers having handicap of 14 and below in which 127 men have registered themselves for the competitions while the Lady golfers are 28 in number taking part in the contests. The Seniors’ contests have 75 golfers with 42 golfers in the Veterans category who will play over 9 holes and only 4 entries have been sent for Juniors competitions.
Robin Bagh will be the defending champion in this golf event and the Championship trophy will be awarded to the golfer with the best net score in the event.
Lahore Gymkhana Club’s, Shaukat Javed thanking Sikander Mustafa Khan, chairman Millat Tractors, stated that Millat Tractors are sponsoring this edition of the championship as well with Governor’s Cup Championship now into its 35th year.
