SBA All Karachi Sheikh Gulam Nabi Memorial Boxing Tournament from 27th October
Pugilists will compete in 4 different weight categories in this two-day boxing tournament which is scheduled to be held from 27th to 28th October at Sharafi Star Boxing Club in Karachi.
District Boxing Association Malir in the memory of Sheikh Gulam Nabi is organizing All Karachi Sheikh Gulam Nabi Memorial Boxing Tournament under the Supervision of Sindh Boxing Association (SBA).
This two day boxing tournament will see pugilists from all over Karachi city competing in the upcoming fights for the ultimate title win. The championship will start from 03:00 PM and on-wards.
Muhammad Asghar Baloch, General Secratary Sindh Boxing Association (SBA) also said that there will be two other mega boxing events next month, Sindh Boxing Tournament will be held on 6th and 7th November at Shaheed Benazirabad in Nawabshah for which trails in Junior, Youth & Senior Class Boxers will also be held. Another boxing event, Sindh Baluchistan Boxing Series will be held from 15th to 19th November in Quetta.
However, competitions for this tournament will be contested in four weight classes under different age categories. Boys under the age of 14 years will have fights in 30, 32, 34, 36, 38, 40, 42 and 44 kg weight categories while boys under 16 years of age will compete in Junior Class of 46, 48, 50, 52, 54 kg weights.
Boys for Youth Class can participate if under the age of 18 years in the weight categories of 49, 52, 56, 60, 64, 69, 75 and 81 kg. Whereas Senior Class will have the fights contested in 49, 52, 56, 60, 64, 69, 75, 81, 91 and +91 kg weights.
The fighters and boxers who wish to participate in this tournament will have their weights and draws taken on Friday 26th October from 03:00 to 05:30 PM at Sharafi Star Boxing Club Malir and (LLWC) Chakiwara Lyari in Karachi.
