WAPDA thrash Punjab 3-0 to reach into the final of National Women Football C’ship 2018
WAPDA makes it to the final stage of National Women Football Championship 2018 by crushing Punjab team 3-0 in the semi-final match played at MTFA Ground in Lahore.
Sophia opened the scoring for the winning team after 12 minutes into the game with a superb strike at the target.
The losing team’s defense was in disarray and they fell further behind after their goalless side in the half time as WAPDA’s Rafia stunningly slammed yet another goal in the 46th minute.
Punjab girls did not even have a shot on target as they were unable to grab a single goal for their side and headed home with a real bad loss of 3-0 in the semi-final stage.
WAPDA team seemed to be playing a one-way traffic game but still Mehnaz, in the dying moments of the match, dragged a shot wide seizing control of the ball and netted another goal making it a 3-0 win for her team.
The second semi-final match will be played between Karachi United and Army football teams today at 12:30 PM in Model Town Football Academy Ground.
