WAPDA excel in National Women’s Football Championship 2018
WAPDA win over Islamabad by 3-0 while Punjab and GB draw the match 0-0 in the 2018 National Women’s Football Championship which is being played at Model Town FC & Academy ground in Lahore.
The match started with a great amount of accuracy as WAPDA and Islamabad teams did not let each other goal in the entire first half.
However, with start of the second half slowly WAPDA girl’s performance picked up the thunder where Mehnaz, Shanzey and Aliya slammed one goal each for the winners and they did not give any relief to the opponent team and let them rest throughout the game.
Whereas, Punjab football team competed hard with Giligit team in the second match of the day that ended in a goalless draw for both sides.
Footballers from either team demonstrated excellent game-play throughout the match as players from both sides did not let each other goal at all despite having great talent at attacking but on the other hand, the defensive performance from both sides proved that none of the teams were ready to provide chances to the other team to name the victory to their side in the game.
