Mayor Karachi Gold Cup Inter-district Hockey League from 20th Nov.
The first ever Mayor Karachi Gold Cup Inter-district Hockey League is scheduled to be held from November 20th at Olympian Hanif Khan- Dr Junaid Ali Shah Complex in Gulshan Iqbal, Karachi.
Karachi Hockey Association (KHA) is organizing the very first edition of Mayor Karachi Gold Cup Inter-district Hockey League which will feature six district hockey teams of the metropolis who will compete against each other for top honors in the upcoming matches.
This league carries huge cash prizes; 2,50,000 PKR for the winners while 1,25,000 PKR is set aside for the runners-up of the tournament. Also, every participating individual of the match will be receiving 5,000 PKR.
Whereas additional prizes for the best player of the tournament, top scorer and best goalkeeper each will be given a brand new motorcycle for their best performances throughout.
Hanif Khan is named as the Director of the tournament and Sami Ullah is named among the Organizing Committee. Also, Secretary KHA, Syed Haider Hussain will be the Organizing Secretary.
The Mayor of Karachi, Wasim Akhtar assured that he will make this event an annual affair after the successful conduction of the league this time.
