Pakistan's Tayyab Aslam took 47 minutes to tame the spirited fifth seed Shehab Essam of Egypt by 3-2. Egyptian put a shiny start as won the first two consecutive games by 9-11, 7-11.Fourth seed fought back well as the experience and exposure of Pakistani star player helped him put Shehab under pressure to win the next three games in a row by 11-7, 11-6, 11-9 and book berth into the semifinal after a tough fight with the final score line of 9-11, 7-11, 11-7, 11-6, 11-9.
Today, Fourth seed Tayyab will face second seed Mazen Gamal of Egypt while top seed Ivan Yuen of Malaysia will face third seed Auguste Dussourd in the semifinal clash.
