1st FEGA Women’s Amateur Golf Championship successfully concludes
More than 42 lady golfers participated in the 1st FEGA Women’s Amateur Golf Championship which was staged in Bahria Pines Golf Club at Murree Expressway.
The Federal Employees Golf Association (FEGA) organized the first ever Women’s Amateur Golf Championship sponsored by UBL, U Bank, Feelings Movers etc. This championship featured more than 42 lady golfers who competed in four different categories.
Categories:
Ladies Amateurs in gold with handicap 0 to15 on 54 holes, silver with handicap 16 to 24 on 36 holes and bronze with handicap 25 to 36 on 36 holes as well. Whereas another Senior ladies category competitions were also contested on 18 holes.
Invitees competitions were held on 9 holes and also a team match between Islamabad/Rawalpindi, Lahore and Karachi divisions was also played.
Gold Medal Winners:
Rimsha Ijaz accomplished her win through a superb play in Net category claiming the first spot while Aruba Ali made it to the runner up net. Whereas, in Gross section Anya Farooq took the first spot followed by Parkha Ejaz on the second.
Silver Medal Winners:
In Net category, Ayesha Fizza stood as the winner while second runer-up position went to Faiza Imtiaz and the third spot was managed by Shaheen Irfan.
Bronze Medal Winners:
Ayesha Moazzam secured the first position while the second position win was gathered by Atya Anjum and the third went to Saleem Akhter in Gross Category. As for the Net category, Falah Zara managed to stand at the top followed by Ayesha Hamid on second position and Mina Zafar on the third spot.
The former President of the First Women’s Bank, Tahira Raza was the chief guest of the event who awarded prizes among the high achievers.
