WAPDA seals first spot in 26th National Karate Championship
WAPDA, Army and KP secured the first three positions in 26th National Karate Championship which was staged at Ayub National Stadium in Quetta.
Pakistan WAPDA lifted the winner trophy of 26th National Karate Championship with winning six gold and one silver to finish the championship at the top stop earning 170 points in total. Their Coach, Sensei Shah Muhammad Shan and all Players received first position Trophy from Chief Guest of the tournament.
While PAK Army managed to earned themselves the runner up trophy with 95 points winning two gold, two silver and three bronze medals. PAK Army team comprised within an international fighter named Imtiaz Ali who along with all the other members of the team was given the second position trophy from the Chief Guests.
Whereas Karate teams from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa ended on naming the 3rd spot with winning one gold, one silver and three bronze medals. They had the benefit of Mr. Asif Ali who was declared the “Best Fighter” of the championship.
Punjab and Islamabad teams were able to bag only one bronze medal each.
26th National Karate Championship was organized by Pakistan Karate Federation (PKF) in collaboration with Balochistan Sports Department and under the leadership of Director General Balochistan Sports, Ali Gul Kurd.
Deputy Speaker National Assembly, Qasim Khan Suri was the chief guest at closing ceremony of the championship and distributed medals, shield and trophies to the winners.
