WAPDA tames Lahore to book place in the final of National Women Basket Championship 2018
WAPDA thrashes Lahore team by 56-27 and makes place into the final of National Women Basket Championship 2018 which is being played at Pakistan Sports Complex in Islamabad.
WAPDA Women Basketball Team competed with Lahore’s Women Basketball Team in the second semi-final of the championship in which WAPDA was able to book place into the final stage as the winning team started into the game showing tremendous performance with their players not allowing the rival team to play freely to win the one-sided encounter by 56-27.
The top-scorer for the winning team was both their strikers Mehru dubbing 18 points and with the support of Madiha who basketed 17 points, earned their team the victory for the match.
As for the losing team, Muqaddas Waqar tried her best to get the win but failed with ten points. While another star player for their side was Sehrish Maqsood who dipped eight points but even with their performance they were not able to keep their foot on pedal and lost their chance to enter the final of the championship.
President Pakistan Basketball Federation (PBBF), Brig. (R) Iftikhar Mansoor was the respectable chief guest for the event and Mr. Khalid Bashir, Secretary General PBBF with Senior Vice President PBBF, Mr. Imtiaz Rafi Butt also attended the event.
